Why Band Charts Differ

Your app’s alpha is not everyone’s alpha. Charts disagree. That is normal, not a conspiracy.

Some maps end alpha at 12, some at 13. Theta’s top moves. Gamma’s floor moves. EEG tradition is a family of conventions, not a single ISO.

This console publishes its ranges in the Field Manual. We picked them to match common teaching charts, not to win an argument with a neurologist.

When a page says 8–12 and another says 8–13, you have not been lied to. You have met a boundary. Use the number, not the nickname, when you compare sessions.
