Brainwave Bands Overview

Delta, theta, alpha, beta, gamma are chart labels borrowed from EEG. On this console they are beat-frequency design targets — not a diagnosis and not a promise your cortex will match the chart.
A typical map: delta ~0.5–4 Hz, theta ~4–8, alpha ~8–12, beta ~13–30, gamma above ~30 with popular interest near 40. Textbooks disagree by a hertz. That disagreement is already the lesson.
A program that “goes to theta” is an arc of difference tones. It is not a staged sleep study. Mixed EEG reviews are why this site refuses the word guaranteed.
Pick a band as an intention. Headphones. A timer. If the field feels wrong, step toward a neighbor band. The map is a menu, not a prescription pad.
Brainwave Bands Overview is a door, not a clinic. Map of common EEG band language. Sit with a true-stereo pair if the hour still wants one. Skip it if silence is the better instrument tonight.
