AIR Evaluation of Remote Viewing (Program Close-Out)
The 1995 external review that helped shut the program down.
In 1995 the CIA commissioned an external evaluation of remote viewing (commonly discussed as the AIR report). Reviewers examined whether RV produced actionable intelligence. The public takeaway is that operational utility was judged insufficient — essential close-out context alongside the session files.
