That is the official public shelf for two decades of U.S. remote-viewing work. Under the name sit session reports, training notes, contracts, foreign assessments, and the close-out arguments. The work arrived there through a chain of code names: SCANATE, GONDOLA WISH, DRAGOON ABSORB, GRILL FLAME, CENTER LANE, SUN STREAK, then STAR GATE.
What “remote viewing” means in these files
In this archive it is the claim that a person can describe a remote or shielded target without known sensory access. Typical furniture: a tasking handle (often coordinates), a viewer, often a monitor, sketches and words on paper, later feedback when the protocol allows it. That is not Monroe’s Focus map, not a binaural beat, and not a UFO program. Those other trails have other reading rooms.
Who held the stamp
Early experimental work sat at Stanford Research Institute (Targ, Puthoff, consultant Ingo Swann). Operational phases lived under Army INSCOM at Fort Meade (Grill Flame, then Center Lane) with DIA coordination, then more fully under DIA branding (Sun Streak / Star Gate). CIA later became custodian of the released PDFs. Custody is not the same as having run every chapter.
How to read the collection
Identify the code name and the year. Ask who wrote the page — shop, sponsor, or external reviewer. Notice whether you are holding a session, a training note, a contract, or an overview. Internal Grill Flame statistics and the 1995 AIR-associated close-out are different ledgers. Read them together or you will only hear the half you brought with you. Official PDFs stay at cia.gov; this shelf is orientation beside a headphone console and a scored lab.
