Left and Right Ear Assignment

Which ear gets the higher carrier is a convention, not a moral law. Consistency matters more than folklore about left-brain and right-brain.

Some operators park the lower carrier on the left because that is how they learned it. Some flip. The beat is the absolute difference. The assignment is a habit.

Pop neurology that maps “logic” to one hemisphere and “art” to the other is not how you should assign ears. If a session feels odd after a swap, swap back. That is data about you, not a diagnosis.

Pick an assignment and keep it for a block so you can compare days. The Console will not scold you for reversing the pair.

Left and Right Ear Assignment is a door, not a clinic. Carrier ear conventions. Sit with a true-stereo pair if the hour still wants one. Skip it if silence is the better instrument tonight.
