The Perceived Pulsing Explained

The pulse you hear is a percept. It can be obvious, faint, or almost absent depending on carrier, volume, and you.
At a 10 Hz difference many people hear a soft wah. At 2 Hz it can feel like a slow tide. At 40 Hz it may be more “texture” than counted beats. None of those reports are a lab EEG.
If you hear nothing, check stereo, volume, and that both drivers work. If those are fine, you may still be a person for whom the percept is subtle. That is allowed. The tones are still in the cups.
Do not chase loudness to force the pulse. Comfortable and present beats “more.” ENGAGE, sit, notice whether the field is there. Write down what you actually heard.
The Perceived Pulsing Explained is a door, not a clinic. Subjective beat sensation. Sit with a true-stereo pair if the hour still wants one. Skip it if silence is the better instrument tonight.
