Delta vs theta waves
Answer
Delta (~0.5–4 Hz) is the slowest common EEG band, associated with deep sleep stages. Theta (~4–8 Hz) is faster and often discussed for meditation and the wake–sleep border. Sleep programs may descend from theta-like into delta-like design targets.
Explain
Very slow beats can be hard to “count” consciously; they may feel like a slow drift rather than a crisp pulse. Use only in safe, stationary settings. Not a treatment for sleep disorders.
