Experiment
Experiment: change the beat frequency
Answer
Hypothesis to test on yourself: with a fixed carrier, increasing the beat frequency should make the perceived pulse faster, without a large change in pitch height.
Explain
- Put on stereo headphones.
- Press PLAY at a low beat (e.g. 2–4 Hz).
- Slowly raise the beat toward 10, then 18 Hz.
- Note comfort, alertness, and whether the pulse stays clear.
This is subjective self-observation, not a lab result. Stop if anything feels unpleasant.

Carrier is locked for this experiment. Only the beat slider should change the pulse rate.
